As a sponsor, you’ll of course receive updates about your sponsored child.

FAQ

What does the monthly contribution cover?
Your monthly sponsorship covers the full cost of school fees, learning materials, meals, and school uniforms. If needed, it also includes medical care.
How can I end a sponsorship?
Sponsorships can generally be ended at the end of the year (which also marks the end of the school year in Uganda). In that case, we kindly ask for a simple written notice. No explanation is required.
How can I get in touch with my sponsored child?
At the start of your sponsorship, you'll receive a profile with a photo and key information about the child. Once or twice a year, you’ll also receive a newsletter with updates from Namataba. We do our best to send occasional personal updates about your sponsored child as well. Letters, photos, or small gifts can be sent to Uganda by arrangement. A personal visit to Namataba/Uganda is also possible.
What should I do if my address changes?
Please send us a short message with your updated details to the following email address: patenschaft@namataba.org. This helps us stay in touch and ensures your donation receipt reaches you.
Will I receive a donation receipt?
Yes. If we have your full address, you will automatically receive a donation receipt at the beginning of the following year.

Sponsorship for employees

Without our caring teachers and dedicated staff, Namataba wouldn’t be what it is today. Our teachers take their educational mission seriously while creating a learning environment where children can truly thrive. Additional team members support the project by contributing through agricultural and domestic work.

By sponsoring a teacher or staff member, you help provide them with a stable job—where they can make a lasting impact.

Sponsorship donations help secure the salaries of staff members, enabling them to continue their work and local projects. This includes covering essential living costs such as housing and meals.
Will I receive updates about my sponsorship?
Yes, sponsors receive regular updates about the progress of the staff member they support. These reports include insights into their work, personal developments, and the progress of the projects they are involved in.
Can I sponsor more than one staff member?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to sponsor multiple staff members. This helps support various areas of the project and strengthens the impact of each team member’s contribution.

Sponsorship for animals

Animals are essential to agriculture in Uganda. Sponsor a chicken, goat, cow, or pig and help provide food for the children.
While we can’t promise you a pen-pal relationship with your sponsored animal, you can personalize your sponsorship by giving your animal a name.

One-time donation amounts:
– A chicken: €10
– A goat: €40
– A pig: €50
– A calf: €250

How can I sponsor an animal on the farm?
You can sponsor an animal on the Namataba Farm directly through the Namataba e.V. website. Simply choose an animal and decide whether you'd like to make a monthly or one-time donation to support its care.
What does an animal sponsorship help fund?
Your donation helps ensure the well-being of the animal. This includes food, care, veterinary treatment, and the development of farm infrastructure to provide the animals with a healthy and species-appropriate environment.
Can I sponsor more than one animal?
Yes, you are welcome to sponsor multiple animals. Doing so supports different areas of the farm and helps maintain the diversity and sustainability of our agricultural projects.
